The UK office vs remote-EU-including-London problem
239 roles name London. 87 are remote-from-UK. 69 sit in both buckets.
The differentiator on this board is not volume. It is the mix. London-tagged roles are not the same as hire-from-UK. Some US labs put London on a multi-city line and still expect you in California.
We keep a role when the location line still lets a UK candidate apply. Then we split: London named vs remote. Hybrid London is its own list at /london-hybrid.
Remote-from-UK (87) is the set people actually want when they search “remote AI jobs UK”. London (239) is the set journalists quote when they write about the London AI office boom.
We do not merge the two lists. A London office role is not remote-from-UK. A remote-EU line that still names the UK is not a London job. The /london and /remote hubs are the tables; this note is the split and the failure mode (London-as-a-token on a US posting).
